Mark Hipkin rang me at 13:50 hrs today to alert me of a Black stork he was watching flying east over Bryn. I got up on my kitchen roof and the bird was passing over east, roughly over the elderbush pub. The sun broke through the clouds right behind the bird and I lost it without managing to get a photo and despite a search of the Cwmdu fields by CG and I, the bird was not refound. A Black stork was seen in Pemboke this morning, last seen heading east and another was reported from Abergavenny this evening, probably the same bird.
